Haines City WTP No. 1 & WTP No. 2 Improvements Project The purpose of the Project is to standardize equipment at both water treatment plants. Newly installed equipment at WTP No. 1 will serve as the basis of improvements at WTP No. 2. In addition, the project includes new GST installation at WTP No. 1. WTP No. 1 Improvements: 1. Construct new 500,000 gallons Ground Storage Tank (GST) with safety hand rails, stairs and walkway to GST No.1-1 and GST No. 1-2. Furnish and install two (2) mixers in the new GST. 2. Furnish and install new bulk storage area with two (2) (3,000 gallons each) dual lined chlorine feed tanks. Demolish existing two (2) bulk chlorine tanks, refurbish existing chlorine storage area and remove overhead hoist beam. 3. Grade the site and relocate stormwater pipe. 4. Mill and resurface receiving area roadway. WTP No. 2 Improvements: 1. Furnish and install above ground raw water chemical injection (Fluoride, Corrosion Inhibitor and Pre-Chlorine) and flow meter assembly. Demolish existing underground vault. Furnish and install Chlorine/Fluoride/pH/Temperature/Conductivity analyzer. 2. Furnish and install Fluoride and Corrosion Inhibitor storage area with two (2) (360 gallons each) duel lined chemical feed tanks. Demolish existing Fluoride building. 3. Furnish and install above ground finished water chemical injection (Post-Chlorine) and flow meter assembly. 4. Demolish existing post chlorine injection vault. 5. Furnish and install GST mixers in GST No. 2-1 and GST No. 2-2 (two (2) mixers in each GST). 6. Furnish and install safety hand rails, stairs for both GSTs and a walkway between GST No. 2-1 and GST No. 2-2. 7. Mill and resurface receiving area roadway. All bidders shall submit with their bid an acceptable Bid bond or certified check as specified in the Bid Form. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days after the bid opening date. The project is funded with funds from Floridas Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). SRF project requirements include Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, American Iron and Steel and Davis-Bacon Act requirements and provisions all provision required by the SRF program must be met by the Bidder and all subcontractors. Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid on this project.
