Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Chesterfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The proposed work includes the complete demolition of the former Municipal Building located at 300 Bordentown-Chesterfield Road. Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the proposed work, prepared by Environmental Resolutions, Inc., Consulting Engineers, have been filed in the Office of the Township Engineer at 815 East Gate Drive, Suite 103, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, 08054, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during normal business hours. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Form, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. Each Proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the contract description on the outside, and addressed to: Township Clerk, Township of Chesterfield, 295 Bordentown Chesterfield Road, Chesterfield, New Jersey 08515. Each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit, an Ownership Disclosure Form, State of New Jersey Business Registration Certification, and a proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the proposal; except that when the Total Price Bid is $200,000.00 or more, the amount of the proposal guarantee shall be $20,000.00. In no case shall the guarantee be less than $500.00. The proposal guarantee must be in the form of a bid bond, or certified check, or cashier's check or a combination thereof, and must be drawn to the order of Chesterfield Township, and must be delivered at the place and by the hour above-named. Proposals received after the designated time shall be deemed unresponsive and shall not be opened. All proposals submitted by corporations or partnerships shall list names of stock-holders in accordance with P.L. 1977, C.33. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, N.J.S.A. 10:5 31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 1 et seq. (Affirmative Action Law). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 2004, c.57 (Business Registration Act). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 2003, c.91 (Public Works Contractor Registration Act). The Township of Chesterfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any insignificant defect or informality in any bid should it be in the interest of the Township to do so. The Work of this Contract comprises the performance and completion of the entire Project within the time specified, including final cleaning up, the payment of all due obligations pertaining to the Project, and the replacing of defective work and materials, all in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. Unless otherwise specified in the Supplementary Specifications, the Contractor shall furnish all materials, tools, plant, machinery, equipment, water, light, heat, fuel, power, labor, superintendence, transportation, temporary construction, and all other services and facilities of every nature whatsoever necessary to execute, complete and deliver to the Owner a functional and operating Project in accordance with the Contract Documents within the time specified, and the cost there of shall be included in the prices bid for the various items scheduled in the Proposal.
