The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation package seeking to award a firm fixed price contract for the construction of the Phase II, Contract 1 components of the Union Beach Hurricane and Storm Damage Reduction Project in Union Beach, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The project scope is for the construction beach fill renourishment of approximately 500,000 - 1,000,000 CY, 1 gravel pedestrian crossover, 1 ADA timber pedestrian crossover, 2 non-ADA pedestrian crossover, 1 outfall extension, 5 drainage modifications, partial demolition of existing decking and restoration with like in-kind materials, vibration monitoring, 2 groins and 20-30 acres of dune planting. This project will be competed using full and open Unrestricted competition. It is anticipated that an IFB will be issued on or about 18 May 2022 and the Bids will be due on or about 30 days later. The base period of performance for this project is 820 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date. The specifications will be posted electronically via the Contract Opportunities website at https://beta.sam.gov/. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard for this code is $39,500,000. The magnitude of this construction is estimated to cost between $35 million and $45 million. Proposals will be submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Room 16- 300, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278-0090.
