Live Oak Branch Library Project This project involves the interior remodel of an existing library building located at 2380 Portola Drive in Santa Cruz, California. The proposed improvements would renovate the existing children's area on the interior of the existing 12,826 square foot, one-story building. Improvements will include an adjusted interior layout, new finishes, and new library shelving. All pre-bid questions must be submitted via the online E-Procurement Portal. Bid questions must be received no later than July 8, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. No partial sets will be issued. The Contractor shall possess a Class 'B' license at the time that this Contract is awarded. The Santa Cruz County Department of Public Works notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, gender, or national origin in consideration for an award. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the California Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wages has been determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, and such prevailing rate of wages is listed in the State of California, Business and Transportation Agency, Department of Transportation publication entitled General Prevailing Wage Rates, current edition, and may be accessed online Contractor will furnish labor, equipment, tools and materials necessary for site work and construction of a renovation of the Live Oak Branch Library. The Contractor shall include in its bid and provide labor, tools, equipment, and materials for a complete and working project in conformance with the intent shown on the drawings and specified herein and as provided for and set forth in said plans, special provisions, and any addendum that may be issued prior to the date of bid, or in either of them, which said plans and special provisions are hereby referred to by such reference, incorporated herein, and made a part of this Contract.
