Renovation of an educational facility in Greenville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a primary / secondary education facility.

Single prime bids for combined site, general, mechanical, and electrical construction will be received until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Facilities Services offices of Pitt County Schools, 205 Sylvania Street, Winterville, NC 28590 for the construction of 2021 Renovations to C.M. Eppes Middle School. Bids will immediately thereafter be publicly opened and read. An open meeting and pre-bid conference will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at the project location, 1100 S. Elm Street, Greenville, NC 27858. Complete plans and specifications for these projects can be obtained from Hite Associates, 2600 Meridian Drive, Greenville, NC (252) 757-0333 during normal office hours. The Architect has authority to order minor changes in the Work not involving adjustment in the Contract Sum or extension of the Contract Time and not inconsistent with the intent of the Contract Documents with the prior written approval of the Owner. Such changes will be effected by written order signed by the Architect and shall be binding on the Owner and Contractor. The Contractor shall carry out such orders promptly. The work in this Contract consists of installing a complete new metal roof system on those roof areas indicated on the drawings. The work of this section includes, but is not limited to: Design and Installation of Sub-framing for support of a new metal roof. Removal, relocation, extending and offsetting of all existing rooftop mounted and perimeter edge mounted, HVAC and electrical equipment and devices, ducts, stacks, plumbing vents, etc. into the new roof and wall panel systems with proper code clearance above the roof and/or as indicated by drawing documents. Installation of R-30 fiberglass insulation over all interior attic spaces under the new roof system. Design and Installation of a new, standing seam, interlocking metal roof system complete with all trim, wall panels, flashings, gutters, and accessories as required to provide a 20 year manufacturer's warranty on material and water-tightness to safely withstand the code mandated loads as noted on the drawings. At roofs with a created enclosed roof cavity space, providing positive ventilation between the existing and new roof, high and low, using manufacturer warranted systems.
