For the Construction of a Grading, Concrete Paving and Box Culvert Project. The project is referred to as "Honey Creek, C-45(532)" and in-cludes approximately 0.3 miles of grading and 8" doweled concrete pavement and a 12'x12'x187'-6" con-crete box culvert. The project site is located on County Road 887 between Avenue 489 and Avenue 490 in Holt County, Nebraska. This project shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for: grading, 12 ' x12' x187' -6" concrete box culvert construction, storm sewer construction, 8" doweled concrete pavement, cable guardrail, and other related incidental work. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the County Clerk of Holt County, County Courthouse, 204 North 4th Street, P.O. Box 329, O'Neill, Nebraska 68763, and should be plainly marked as, "Construction Bid Proposal -- Honey Creek, C-45(532)". Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Holt County Treasurer, Holt County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date with its Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for the concrete box culvert, grading, and storm sewer is October 31, 2021 and the desired completion date for the paving, shouldering, guardrail, and erosion control is July 30, 2022. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed ninety (90) working days for the completion of the concrete box culvert, grading, and storm sewer and fifty-five (55) working days for the completion of the paving, shouldering, cable guardrail, and erosion control. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Holt County Board of Supervisors. Holt County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Fed-eral Regulations, Dept. of Transporta-tion, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Feder-ally assisted programs of the Dept. of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full op-portunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be dis-criminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in considera-tion for award.
