Renovation of a municipal facility in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Captain Martin House located at 305 Wood Street in Whitehorse is a designated municipal heritage resource, and as such the roofing replacement has been designed to substantially match the existing building, with no adverse impact on the character defining elements of the building. Broadly, the work includes: installing insulation and air/vapour barriers in the roof assemblies where they are currently missing, structural repairs to the roof assemblies required to address water damage, structural upgrades necessary for the roof to meet modern building codes, replacement of all roofing membranes, replacement of cedar shake roofing, and installation of eaves troughs and downspouts to create on-site rain water management Documents can be obtained from https://whitehorse.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/52709
