Sealed bids will be received by the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District for the design build of a new fire station. If interested, please contact us at our main number 816-229-2522. The Central Jackson County Fire Protection District (the "District") is seeking Design-Build Teams to submit qualifications to design and build the District's new Fire Station #6 (the "Project") at the location described on the attached Exhibit A (Site Map). The District will utilize an internal evaluation method to determine which proposal is best suited for the Project. The District will review all proposals and establish a short list of candidates and request presentations from each of those selected. The selected Design Build Team will work with the District in the design and construction of this Project. The selected Design Build Team must show experience with similar facilities. The District will select one Design Build Team that shows experience and expertise in the following primary goals of this Project: Utilize a prototype design to provide the District with a new facility that incorporates the necessary program elements adequate to prepare, operate, house, and maintain a high-quality workforce and adequate response times for the District. Completion of the Project in a timely fashion without undue delays and within the District's funding available for this Project ($6 Million). Incorporate high performance, energy efficient HVAC, plumbing, electrical, exhaust, mechanical, security and fire alarm systems and controls that will allow all staff to work in a safe, healthy, comfortable, and operational facility. Design a facility that makes firefighter health a priority. Clean rooms for decontamination of tools and equipment as well as extractors to facilitate the cleaning of PPE. Lighting designs with this faciality will also be designed around the continued health of firefighters. Design and construct a facility that maximizes energy efficiency and utilizes efficient ground maintenance. Leading the District through normal design and construction issues. Establishing timely and accurate cost information integral to the Project's success.
