**As of July 21, 2021, the project has been awarded but award amount was not confirmed and also the construction start date and completion date.** The Town of Williamstown invites sealed bids for construction of approximately 95 linear feet of temporary bank stabilization along the Hoosic River east of the intersection of North St. (Rt. 7) and Syndicate Road in accordance with the documents prepared by Guntlow & Associates, Inc. The Project consists of minor site preparation, installation & maintenance of erosion control, installation of a temporary access drive (to be removed during de-mobilization), installation of bank stabilization and appurtenant work associated to bank stabilization along the Hoosic River. The work is estimated to cost $135,000. The work is performed on private property of which the Town has obtained the necessary permissions. Sealed Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, and made payable to the Town of Williamstown. A Payment Bond for 50% of the amount of the Contract will be required of the successful Bidder. Complete instructions for bidding are included in the Instructions for Bidders. All work needs to be completed pursuant to an Emergency Order within 30 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, between August 2 and August 31, 2021. Work shall be done in coordination with the supervision of the Town provided inspector relating to potential endangered species in this area as required by Natural Heritage Endangered Species Program. The Town of Williamstown reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. The preceding sentence shall not be construed to limit the Town of Williamstown's rights to accept or reject bids in accordance with Massachusetts Law.
