Darlington County, South Carolina is requesting proposals from qualified firms for pressure washing and window cleaning at the Darlington County Courthouse located at 1 Public Square, Darlington, SC 29532.
II. BACKGROUND AND INTENT
Darlington County Courthouse is a five-story building located in the City of Darlington. The Courthouse provides services to the citizens of Darlington County. The Courthouse was built in 1963 and is a (5) five story building with a basement. The building is approximately
55,000 sq. ft. There are 60 windows on each floor of the building (15 windows on each side) excluding the first floor.
III. SPECS
To furnish all labor and materials for the pressure washing and cleaning of the exterior part of the Darlington County Courthouse. The exterior is defined as the arches of the portico area at ground level and the brick facade up to the fifth floor were the concrete begins and
wraps around the top of the building. Contractor will also clean windows from 2nd floor to the fifth floor. Contractor shall not use a pressure washer on any windows.
The County will supply electrical outlet and water only. SURETY BONDS
(Bids of 50,000 or greater) The Contractor shall furnish separate bid, performance, and payment bonds to the county. Each bond shall set forth a penal sum in the amount not less than the Contract Price. The bonds furnished by the Contractor shall be in form suitable for the County and shall be executed by the surety, or sureties reasonably acceptable to the County. Within fifteen (15) calendar days after the intent to award, the following bonds or security shall be delivered to the County and shall become binding on the parties upon the execution of the Contract.
