F.01004260(Supplement) Site Code: 2-19-005 State ID: S02566 The work under this contract shall consist of the following all located at the Oakcrest Building, East Louisiana State Hospital, Jackson, Louisiana: 1. Removal and replacement of four (4) multi-zone air handling units along with all associated ductwork, piping, controls, etc. located in the existing mechanical rooms located on the first floor and penthouse mechanical rooms of the Oakcrest Building. All work to be confined to the existing mechanical rooms with the exception of the installation of the new thermostats. 2. Removal of the air handling units shall be phased. Contractor shall remove TWO (2) units at a time and once units are replaced and operational, contractor shall be allowed to proceed with the removal of the next two (2) units. During this removal process, contractor shall provide temporary cooling or heat (depending on the time of year ) for the occupied space affected by the removal of the respective air handling units. 3. Removal and replacement of the existing doors and/or windows to allow for the removal and installation of the new air handling units. 5. Removal of all hazardous materials in conflict with the removal and replacement of the four (4) air handling units. 5. Disconnect existing electrical and controls and reconnect to new equipment The Office of Facility Planning and Control is currently closed to the public. Bidders wishing to hand-deliver a bid shall contact FPC at (225) 342-0820 from the lobby of the Claiborne Building prior to 1:45 pm on the specified date of bid opening. A representative of FPC will then meet with the bidder in the lobby to receive the bid. After 1:45 pm, bidders shall submit bids directly to room 1-145. All persons attending the public bid opening are required to wear a mask/face covering upon entering the Claiborne Building. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. When this project is financed either partially or entirely with State Bonds or financed in whole or in part by federal or other funds which are not readily available at the time bids are received, the award of this Contract is contingent upon the granting of lines of credit, or the sale of bonds by the Bond Commission or the availability of federal or other funds. The State shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract Between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
