Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cape Coral, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The proposed project will include the replacement of an existing PVC water main with 16" ductile iron water main, installation of new drainage structures and associated piping, superelevation of portions of Nicholas Parkway East, and resurfacing within the project limits, which extends approximately one and two-tenths (1.2) miles from Santa Barbara Boulevard to Country Club Boulevard. The roadway portion of the project involves the construction of various median and roadway improvements to include, but not limited to, superelevation of noted sections of the roadway, pavement reconstruction, as needed, installing curb and gutter, traffic separators, and landscaping. The Work also includes the removal and replacement of noted driveways and sidewalks, construction of drainage infrastructure and swale work, placement of IT conduit and pull boxes, and the adjustment of existing utilities. The roadway portion of the project will also include the milling and resurfacing of Nicholas Parkway from Santa Barbara Blvd. to County Club Blvd. Along with the resurfacing the Work includes such items as replacement of existing striping, markings, signal loops, and RPM's. The Utility work is generally comprised of the removal of the existing 16-inch water main and the subsequent replacement with approximately 6,100 linear feet of new 16" ductile iron water main while maintaining potable water service to the affected customers, approximately 220 linear feet of new 12" ductile iron water main, approximately 925 linear feet of 8" ductile iron water main, and 160 linear feet of 6" PVC water main. The new water main will be complete with new valves, associated fittings, as well as new service laterals (1" PE and 2" PE, long and short side) connected to existing water meters. Existing fire hydrants will be replaced, and additional new fire hydrants will be installed within the project area. The existing 16" water main will be removed as a part of the construction project. Various diversions on the irrigation water main on the south side of Nicholas Parkway East will be required to accommodate new stormwater facilities. New service laterals (1" PE and 2" PE, long and short side) will be installed on the existing irrigation main. Bid Bond None
