Any and all questions are to be submitted in writing to Cindy Talamantez no later than July 6, 2021, by 5:00 p.m. Bid Bond N/A The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners' are in receipt of FDOT SCRAP Funds and are seeking formal Proposals from qualified firms and/or individuals to provide Road Improvement Construction Services on Hillsborough Avenue as indicated within the context of this Bid. DeSoto County is in receipt of Small County Road Assistance Program (SCRAP) Funding for improvements to Hillsborough Avenue from S.E. Fletcher Avenue to E. Palmetto Street. This project includes a base scope and an optional scope. The base scope includes milling and resurfacing of the existing roadway, cross drain replacement, minor shoulder work, driveway aprons, striping and sod restoration. The optional scope includes existing sidewalk replacement. DeSoto County will determine whether the optional scope will be included based on available funding. The Contractor shall be allowed 150 Total Calendar Days for Substantial Completion and 30 additional Calendar Days (180 Total Calendar Days) for Final Completion. Substantial Completion shall be defined as all work excluding sodding and pavement striping. Only sod installation and pavement striping shall be performed in the 30 days period between Substantial and Final Completion. The basis of award shall be the lowest responsive/responsible bidder as calculated by the total of all items included in the Base Bid. The basis of award shall not change if the County elects to remove or include the optional scope. Bidders must bid both the Base Bid and the Optional Scope.
