As of October 3, 2022, a consultant has been selected for the project. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, Inc. (NJTPA), the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the 13 counties in northern New Jersey, is announcing a Request for Proposals for consultant assistance for the development of a freight rail grade crossing assessment. This study is an update of the 2008 NJTPA Freight Rail Grade Crossing Assessment. This study will update the information from the 2008 assessment and document the current conditions and operations at grade crossings along the major freight rail lines in the NJTPA region. The NJTPA invites all qualified firms with experience in this area to submit proposals for this project. Questions about the RFP must be placed in writing and emailed to Jakub Rowinski at jrowinski@njtpa.org, with a copy to young@njtpa.org. Copies of all submitted questions and any replies will be made available on the RFPs webpage on the NJTPA Website. The deadline for inquiries is July 7, 2021. Federal and state procurement regulations apply to this contract. If awarded, the successful firm awarded the contract shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The NJTPA in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 US.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all interested parties that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. As of June 21, 2021, The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
