The project includes the installation of approximately 2,050 ft. of 4 Medium Density Polyethylene main and 27 services. Pre-Bid conferences will be held at times scheduled between the contractor and the engineers at the City of Aledo Office at 120 N. College Ave. in Aledo, IL. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are not required to attend and participate in a conference. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conferences. EACH PROPOSAL shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, or an acceptable form of PROPOSAL GUARANTY in an amount equal to at least Five Percent (5%) of the amount of the PROPOSAL, payable to the order to the City of Aledo, IL, or BID BOND as a guaranty that if the PROPOSAL is accepted, the BIDDER will execute the CONTRACT and file acceptable PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS within ten (10) days after the AWARD of the CONTRACT. This project is funded by the City of Aledo and therefore is subject to the requirements if the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.) and required to comply with the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/0.01 et seq.).
