This project is included in the Town of Collierville's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 18, 2024, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2025. A detailed scope has not yet been released. Installation of new 8" ductile iron (DI) water line on North Rowlett from Walnut St. to Abbington and on Abbington from North Rowlett to Poplar Avenue. This will replace the undersized 6" asbestos cement lines that are old, brittle, and frequently break. This project will reduce the occurrence of after-hour emergency repairs and will improve reliability of the water line and reduce the frequency of service interruptions due to line breaks. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
