All traffic control and safety measures are the responsibility of the successful bidder. Bid documents may be obtained at the Smithfield Township Municipal Building during regular business hours. All bids must be accompanied by a bank cashier's or certified check or bid bond in an amount of ten percent of the bid. By submitting a bid, the bidder acknowledges that he has visited the site and understands the work to be performed. All work will be started and completed in accordance with Official Notice to Proceed The successful bidder will provide performance and payment bonds equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount for the full and faithful performance of the contract, and a certificate of liability and workers compensation insurance. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technically or formality therein. Failure of the bidder to sign the bid may be cause for rejection of the bid. Any bidder may withdraw their bid at any time before the time set for receipt of bids. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty days after bids are received.
