Proposed work will consist of the installation of a new 36 kW natural gas generator and associated electrical components. Other work will include minor demolition, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, grading, underground electrical, and restoration.
Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified, check, or cashiers check made payable to OWNER in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bidders maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to OWNER as liquidated damages. Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days from the date of bid opening. Failure to list SUBCONTRACTORS or suppliers may be cause for rejection of the Bid. The OWNER has the right to reject any/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the OWNER, subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statues. Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Work will be substantially complete on or before April 15, 2022, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before
May 13, 2022.
