The project provides for concrete deck patching, polymer concrete overlay, removal of silt and debris, tree removal, joint repair, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous repairs. The Contract shall be awarded by the Governing Body of the Owner at the sole and complete discretion of such Governing Body. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bids. A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled for this project. Each Bidder shall upload and/or file with their bid a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond drawn on an acceptable bank in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, with the exception of the second qualifying bidder, at such time as their bids are rejected. All bidders shall verify that they have considered all issued addenda. Any addenda issued during the time of bidding shall be covered and included in the bid. There will be no clarifications or exceptions allowed on the Bid. Bids are for a total bid package, and total contract price. SCOPE: The work covered by these Contract Documents shall be completed in accordance with the latest revision of the City of Shawnee Manual of Technical Specifications and Design Criteria for Public Improvement Projects, together with the Standard Details, which are incorporated herein by reference. Such work shall consist of furnishing all facilities, labor, equipment, appliances and materials. In addition to, all work shall comply with any and all City of Shawnee policy codes established prior to bidding. If not covered within the technical specifications set forth above, the work covered by these Contract Documents shall be completed in accordance with the latest revision of the Kansas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for State Road and Bridge Construction, and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices which are incorporated herein by reference. Each bid shall be made on a proposal form included with the bid documents. Bids shall be submitted online as indicated on the eBuilder website. An officer of the firm making such proposal shall properly execute all proposal forms. Bids received after the time and date above specified shall not be considered.
