Renovation of a municipal facility in Montgomery, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Painting of exterior doors, columns and handrails at Tulane Gardens, Gibbs East and Gibbs West Contractors must be licensed as General Contractors and meet the statutory requirements, including liability and workers compensation insurance and maintaining a license in good standing. All bidders must include a current license with the submission of the bid. The responsibility for submitting a response to this IFB to the Montgomery Housing Authority on or before the stated time and date will be solely and strictly the responsibility of the respondent. The Housing Authority is not liable for any costs incurred by the Bidder prior to issuance of a contract. The Bidder shall wholly absorb all costs incurred in the preparation and presentation of the bid. The Montgomery Housing Authority (MHA), located in Montgomery, AL is seeking licensed general contractors to paint exterior doors, columns and handrails at three of its properties, namely, Victor Tulane Gardens, located at 1101 Victor Tulane Circle, Gibbs Village East, located at 1701 Terminal Rd., and Gibbs Village West, located at 2025 Terminal Rd. General: - MHA will supply the paint for each property. - Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday - Contractor must be willing to immediately enter into a contract once awarded and begin work once notice to proceed is issued. - Contractor must be willing to coordinate with MHA personnel on gaining access to the units, to maintain a consistent workflow. MHA is required to give residents a 48-hour notice. - Contractor shall keep a daily log of units completed for the project manager's review. The log should include name of property, address of building and unit number. - Contractor will paint the inside and outside of all exterior doors. - Contractor will not leave any material and/or equipment on MHA property or in the units. All items must be removed prior the close of each business day. MHA is not responsible for any items lost, damaged or stolen. - Contractor will provide separate pricing for each property. Pricing must include a separate line for labor (see attached Pricing Sheet-Exhibit A) - Contractor shall provide labor, applicators/supplies and insurance to complete the following tasks at each property: Victor Tulane Gardens (1101 Victor Tulane Circle, Montgomery, AL 36104) - Paint exterior doors inside and out (size 3068)-310 doors - Paint handrail-200 LF (Linear Foot). This handrail isn't attached to a building but gives residents access to elevated walkway.Gibbs Village East (1701 Terminal Rd., Montgomery, AL 36108) - Paint white exterior fluted columns (8" 8')-83 columns - Paint brown steel stock columns (4" 8')-136 columns - Paint brown steel stock columns (4" 4')-462 columns - Paint exterior doors inside and out (size 3068)-1,266 doors - Paint steel porch handrails-2390 LF (linear foot) Gibbs Village West (2025 Terminal Rd., Montgomery, AL 36108) - Paint white exterior fluted columns (8" 8')-87 columns - Paint brown steel stock columns (4" 8')-173 columns - Paint brown steel stock columns (4" 4')-152 columns - Paint exterior doors inside and out (size 3068)-752 doors - Paint steel porch handrails-1966 LF (linear foot) All inquiries, requests for site visits and/or additional information relative to this IFB should be directed (ten days prior to bid deadline date and time) to Sheila Brown, Procurement/Contract Administrator at sbrown@mhatoday.org. The MHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities and to accept any offer deemed to be in the best interest of MHA. Montgomery Housing Authority reserves the right to seek additional or new bids and to waive informalities and minor inequities in bids received.
