As of May 23, 2022, this project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. For this project, the contractor shall design to a Production Budget between $200,000 - $220,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Homestead National Historical Park, in Beatrice, Nebraska, commemorates the settlers who moved across young America to settle and build the American West. Current exhibits educate visitors on the scope and importance of the Homestead Act of 1862 and explore immigration, agriculture, industrialization, native tribes, and the surrounding tallgrass prairie ecosystem. The current exhibits, installed in 2007, are in need of maintenance and rehabilitation, with some thoughtful redesign or replacement of several exhibit elements, structures, equipment, and programming including editing and post-production work on interactive digital content within the exhibits. Recommendations for rehabilitation, maintenance, programmatic and physical accessibility updates, and the re-development of digital interactives with existing source material has been completed by Harpers Ferry Center (HFC). The HFC recommendations shall be used to design and fabricate new and repaired exhibits.
