Site work and paving for a road / highway in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project area is located on Highstreet Access Road in Abbotsford, BC. Highstreet Access Road is currently a private roadway within the Highstreet Shopping Centre area between Mt.Lehman Road and Cardinal Avenue. Currently, Highstreet Access Road maintains existing BC Transit routes including #1 Highstreet/UFV, Highstreet/McMillan, #21 Aldergrove/Abbotsford, and #66 Fraser Valley Express. This corridor segment was identified as a future transit exchange location within the City's transit planning initiatives. Highstreet Access Road is bookended by intersections at Cardinal Ave and Mt.Lehman Rd. Cardinal Ave is an existing signalized intersection under City jurisdiction. The Mt.Lehman Rd intersection is an existing roundabout under provincial jurisdiction (Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTi). In order to facilitate the future transit exchange, the Mt.Lehman Rd roundabout will be replaced with a typical 4-legged intersection to coincide with the Highstreet exchange. The intersection of Mt.Lehman Rd and Highstreet Access Road is not within scope of the Highstreet Transit Exchange and is to be completed by others. TIMELINE: Request for proposals for preliminary design engineering services, is closed. Project manager do not release successful proponent.
