This Contract is for the construction of storm sewer pipe, sanitary sewer pipe, road construction and others as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the facilities consisting of, but not limited to, the following: Installation of new storm sewer conveyance system with associated drainage structures; Partial removal of existing storm sewer conveyance system and associated drainage structures; Installation of a new nutrient reducing baffle box; Install new headwall with Lake C to serve as the outfall for the proposed storm sewer conveyance system; Reconstruction of the existing gravity sanitary sewer by replacing the existing vitrified clay pipes with PVC pipes and associated pipe and structure fittings; Reconstruct existing residential sanitary sewer laterals; Modify existing residential water services to eliminate conflicts with proposed utilities; Miscellaneous site improvements including installation of fencing, concrete curb, ADA accessible ramps, sidewalks, driveway aprons, road restoration and landscaping; The estimate for this project is $1,371,623.00. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made out to the City of Orlando, or other security as provided by law, in an amount not less than 10% of the total base bid. Bidders must be appropriately licensed Florida Contractors pursuant to Chapter 489, Part I Florida Statutes to be considered responsible bidders and eligible to be awarded a contract. Upon award of contract, the Low Bidder shall be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of the Contract Price. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, or to re-advertise for Bids. Awards, if made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the Owner, price and other factors considered.
