This Contract provides for the improvement of the storm sewer system on South Wenatchee Avenue between the Malaga-Alcoa Highway and the Squilchuck outfall by adding a water quality treatment device to the existing storm sewer system, asphalt patching and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Chelan County in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Due to COVID 19 this public meeting will be held via Zoom Video Conference. Please do NOT come in person. You can find the log in information on the Commissioners web site. A bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany each bid. Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked on the outside as follows: SEALED BID FOR SD 2008, Squilchuck Outfall Phase 2, on the outside of the envelope. It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to this contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. The Board of Chelan County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids for cause.
