Project Description: This project will include grinding and overlaying the existing asphalt travel lanes and bike lane/ shoulders between Interstate 5 Exit 11.8 and McNeil Street to a depth of 2-inches. The grinding wilt extend. 50-let: beyond inter-section with McNeil Street. The grinding operations will require the traffic signal detection loops to be removed and replaced.. Sidewalk curb ramps not in compliance with current ADA. standards will be removed and replaced to meet cur-rent ADA standards. Pedestrian push buttons will be relocated to be compliant with current ADA. standards as well. All pavement markings will be reinstalled to the current roadway configura-tions. This project is 1 of 4 remain-ing parts/phases to provide pave-ment preservation to the length. of Center Drive. The full length of Center Drive pavement preser-vation is planned 6 parts/phases 2 parts/phases have been funded/ executed. 4 parts/phases remain pen.ding funding/execution. The work described in these Contract Documents shall be Physically Completed within 45 WORKING DAYS. The estimated cost for this project is in a range of $650,000 to 950,000. Bid Bond Required: Each bid or proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a cer-tified check, cashier's check, or a bond payable to the order of the Treasurer of the City of Dupont for the sum of not less than five percent; (5%) of the bid or proposal and none will he considered unless accompanied by such deposit; such deposit shall he forfeited to the City in the event the success-ful bidder fails or refuses to enter into such contract for the making and construction of the aforesaid improvement, within the time stat-ed in the specifications. Prevailing Wages: This Contract provides for "pub-lic work". Workers performing work in conjunction with the Contract shall receive a State of Washington prevailing rate of wage pursuant to the Prevailing Wages on Public Works Act (Chapter 39.12 RCW).
