Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; for the construction of a transportation facility; and library.

Project consists of a new ferry terminal at Mill Cove; and a new terminal building in downtown Halifax, and a new fleet of ferries and associated infrastructure. The new facilities will be net-zero, energy efficient. Locations currently considered include the Nathan Green Square and near the Dockyard Block. Mill Cover Ferry terminal: approx. 11,000 sq. ft.; 5 berths. Library: approx. 21,000 sq. ft. Halifax Ferry terminal: approx. 21,000 sq. ft., 2 new berths for existing service and 3 new for future service. TIMELINE: Preliminary planning is underway for the project. Various solicitation packages which are expected to be issued in the coming months. - design and construction of the Mill Cove Terminal & Library Building, site work and marine infrastructure; - demolition of the existing Halifax Terminal and marine infrastructure; - design and construction of the new Halifax Terminal, site work and marine infrastructure; - design and construction of a maintenance facility on the Dartmouth waterfront; and - design and construction of a bridge spanning the Bedford Hwy over an existing CN rail line.
