Construction of corrugated metal pipes with steel headwalls and wingwalls, grading, bank stabilization, and other related incidental work at two sites. C-11(425) is located on Road H between Road 25 and Highway 32, and FEMA03810 is located on Road H between Road 5 and Road 9, all in Burt County, Nebraska. The projects are referred to as "Craig East, C-11(425) and FEMA 03810, C001103810" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required to construct twin 120" x 70' corrugated metalpipes on a 20 deg. skew (LHB) with steel headwalls and wingwalls, channel shaping and rock riprapplacement. All Bid Proposals must be submitted onthe forms furnished with the Bid Documents. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Burt County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and an End of Construction date with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for each site is November 1, 2021. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed: C-11(425) - fifty (50) calendar days, and FEMA 03810 - twenty five (25) calendar days for completion after beginning work at that site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Burt County Board of Supervisors. Burt County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Dept of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award.
