New construction of a transportation facility in Kitchener, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.
Redevelopment of the former bus terminal. Uses should conform to the following principles: creation of economic development opportunities, promote housing options, support active transportation and transit, and focus on the environment. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual. Public feedback and environmental and technical studies are ongoing. There is ongoing discussion regarding the inclusion of an Indigenous Hub as part of redevelopment plans. Further update may be available early spring 2025. This is a joint project between the Region and the City. The Working Group (425 Adelaide St W, Toronto) are the consultants.
