New construction of a transportation facility in Kitchener, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a transportation facility.
Redevelopment of the former bus terminal. Uses should conform to the following principles: creation of economic development opportunities, promote housing options, support active transportation and transit, and focus on the environment. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual. Council has voted to declare a portion of the site as surplus. Council has also voted to change from a single-phase to a multi-phase redevelopment approach. Next steps include review of Phase 4 engagement reports and beginning to move towards a phased procurement process. Further update may be available fall 2026. This is a joint project between the Region and the City. The Working Group (425 Adelaide St W, Toronto) are the consultants.
