As of May 10, 2023, this project has been abandoned. Other similar projects were pursued and are under construction. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. Plans call to separate the combined sewer overflow system in the Rack 35 collection area into sanitary and storm sewer lines. As of March 15, 2022, this project is on indefinite hold. The City of Akron has nominated this project for funding through the Ohio EPA Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF). Akron has requested from the Ohio EPA WPCLF for this project. The currently programmed user rates will not change due to these projects. Further detailed information regarding design and construction timelines has not been identified.
