This project consists of removing and replacing all cross-bracing rods and turnbuckles at piers, retrofitting the top of all pier columns to shed water, removing, and replacing concrete encasement at Piers No. 3 and 4 to extend the top of concrete above grade, replacing the missing expansion joint filler in retaining walls, cleaning and painting existing painted structural steel, metal railing,, and new structural steel, resurfacing the timber bridge deck and bridge approach pavement, and repairing timber bridge railing and steel backed timber guardrail, and all necessary incidentals required to complete the project according to the plans and specifications. The Town of Normal reserves the right to reject any or all bids received. The bid award will be made by the Town Council and their decision will be final.
