The work to be performed shall include, but not be limited to: Cold milling, roadway excavation and paving; removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, concrete curb, gutter, curb ramps, driveways and sidewalk; grading and construction of check dams, riprap protection and storm drain pipe and structures; retaining wall; utility protection, relocation, cooperation and coordination; pavement delineation and signing; traffic signal modification; construction and adjustment of IRWD and other utility facilities; adjusting valve covers and manhole covers to grade, and other items not mentioned here, but are required by the Special Provisions. The Engineer's construction cost estimate for the project is above $5,200,000 (rounded to the nearest ten thousand). Class A. All traffic signal (and/or street lighting) work under this Contract shall be considered specialty work. Any Contractor and/or subcontractor proposing to perform this specialty work must possess a valid Class C-10 license prior to award of contract. All Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) water facilities work under this contract shall be considered specialty work. Any Contractor and/or subcontractor proposing to perform this specialty work must possess a valid Class C-34 license prior to award of IRWD additive bid contract items. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
