Grizzard added that city staff would like to look at revisions and bring this project back to the Mayor & Council at a future date with new estimates and alternatives. _____________________________________________________________________ ** As of February 22, 2022, this project will be rebid but a bidding timeline has not yet been established. ** As of August 11, 2021, all bids were rejected. The existing Carrollton City Hall located at 315 Bradley Street in Carrollton, Georgia will undergo an exterior renovation and addition. The renovation portion consists of removing the existing storefront window systems on 3 sides of the building and replacing them with steel lintels, new storefront aluminum glazing and metal panels. The existing vertical stucco portions of the building will also receive new storefront aluminum glazing in place of the existing and the entire stucco wall system will receive new metal panel cladding on top. The addition portion of the project consists of a ground level addition of +/- 1,000 SF complete with green roof deck system accessible from 2nd level. This addition will be constructed of steel structure, new aluminum storefront glazing system and a stone veneer rain screen system. The ground level structural steel is designed to accommodate a 2nd and 3rd level addition in the future but will not be a part of this scope of work. The 2nd level roof deck is a sloped membrane layer roof with modular decking and planting. The existing site will receive additional storm drainage and new hardscape. By purchasing the contract documents, purchaser agrees to having their company information released to the public as a planholder. Copies of the planholders list and bid results will be made available upon request, in accordance with the Georgia Open Records Act. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid. A letter of credit or bank guaranteed check, from a local bank, may be submitted in lieu of bond. Cash or personal checks will not be accepted. The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, in whole or in part, with or without cause, and to waive informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the Bids or the Contract Documents. Also, this project is of sufficient complexity that the City reserves the right to reject any contractor who does not have previous experience with projects of a similar nature and complexity.
