Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hicksville, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

To construct Permanent AOP Treatment at Plant No. 9 . All bids shall be submitted upon the forms provided therefore by the Hicksville Water District. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit payable to the Hicksville Water District by certified check, bank check or bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total lump sum bid price. Bids must be addressed to the Board of Comissioners, Hicksville Water District, 4 Dean Street, Hicksville, New York, and submitted in a sealed envelope marked Permanent AOP Treatment at Plant No. 9 not later than 10:00 a.m. on the date above stated. The Board of Comissioners of the Hicksville Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids in the whole or in part and to waive any informality in the bids and to accept the bid and award the Contract to the lowest, responsible, formal Bidder deemed most favorable to the interests of the Hicksville Water District therefore, pursuant to Section 103 of the General Municipal Law. Upon acceptance of the bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of said Board of Comissioners, then at the sole option of the District the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the Hicksville Water District as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, and the District shall retain all of its other remedies for damages provided by law. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Bond, and a two (2) year Maintenance Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the final total contract price as security for its faithful performance of this contract, for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection with this contract. Such bonds shall also cover any penalties, interest charges and assessments levied by any governmental unit for failure to comply with laws and/or regulations governing public work. The Maintenance Bond shall be an assurance that all work and materials provided under this contract shall be maintained for a period of one (1) year following final completion, and payment under the contract. The contractor shall be required to furnish all guarantees and warranties of manufacturers of products in connection with this contract, but no manufacturer's limitation of time shall act to limit the responsibility of the contractor or its surety hereunder.
