A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission (WCPARC) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for three separate projects located at Nelson Meade County Farm Park and the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center. The County might award all projects under one contract, or separately award to multiple contractors individually or in any combination thereof as it determines to best meet the County's needs, interests, and specifications. The first project involves reconstruction of a 60 car parking lot and expansion with an additional 26 vehicle spaces at Nelson Meade County Farm Park. Work will entail Soil Erosion Control Measures, vegetation removal, soil excavation and grading, stormwater infrastructure renovations, asphalt and concrete removal, HMA paving, concrete flatwork and curbing, miscellaneous site amenities, tree planting, and site restoration. The second area of work is located at the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center. It provides expansion of the parking lot with 23 new parking spaces. This project includes similar element as identified above and incorporates an underground detention systems to capture stormwater runoff as a result of the increased impervious surfacing. The third project is replacement of roughly 2400 lineal feet, of an existing 8 feet asphalt pathway located along Washtenaw Avenue from Manchester Avenue to Platt Road. This work will include pulverization in place of existing materials and resurfacing with new HMA. An owner's option alternative will be for full removal of the existing bituminous pathway prior to paving. There will also be minimal concrete flatwork.
