Site work and new construction of a museum in Ocean City, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a museum.
Renovations and improvements to the Old Bank of Ocean City Building at the corner of Dorchester and Baltimore Ave.The building has been donated to the City and is proposed to house office, storage and exhibit space related to the Lifesaving Museum. State and corporate grants received in FY21 will pay for exterior improvements in FY21/22. A program for the interior is currently being discussed by the Museum. Interior improvements are scheduled for FY23. The estimate for interior improvements is conceptual only and is based on an allowance of $125 per square foot and matching state or corporate grants. The project is included in the town's 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 3, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
