The City of Dickson hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises, female owned businesses and minority owned businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of age, race, color, religion, national origin, sex or disability in consideration for an award A new fire station will be built on a greenfield site at the corner of US Highway 70 and Ridgecrest Drive in Dickson, Tennessee. The project consists of civil, landscape, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology work for the construction of a twobay, one-story approximately 10,600 SF fire station with living area. The living area includes an office, training room, day room, kitchen, and five bunk rooms with associated support spaces. Site work includes, but may not be limited to: grading, sidewalks, curbs, concrete drives, landscaping, site utilities, grinder pump installation, and exterior lighting. Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Provisions of this Section apply to all Fire Protection work. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the completion of all work shown or specified, except work specifically specified to be done or furnished under other sections of the Specifications. Include performing all operations in connection with the complete installation in strict accordance with the specification and applicable drawings subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract, for the following system: A system of fire protection piping. Give required notices, file drawings, obtain and pay for permits, deposits and fees necessary for the installation of the work. Obtain and pay for inspections required by laws, ordinances, rules, regulations or public authority having jurisdiction. Obtain and pay for certificates of such inspections, and file such certificates with Owner. All equipment shall be U.L. or E.T.L. listed as an assembly.
