Sealed bids are hereby invited for the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of the Meetinghouse Tower at the Jaffrey Meetinghouse located at 15 Laban Ainsworth Way for the Town of Jaffrey, New Hampshire. This project is to rehabilitate the Meetinghouse tower, specifically elements of the entire tower interior and exterior elements of Bell Level 1 through Bell Level 4, rehabilitation of the clock faces and hands, and repainting of the entire exterior of the tower and west façade of the Meetinghouse. The Project must be completed before December 31, 2022 and with no construction occurring between July 1 and September 16th due to activities at the building. The project is considered a preservation project as outlined by the US Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Buildings, and The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Preservation of Historic Buildings. Packages will be mailed to interested parties, upon receipt of a non-refundable mailing/processing fee of $10.00. Bid documents may also be emailed to requested bidders. Facsimile bids will not be accepted. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities. The selected contractor shall provide the following services: 1. Demolition/Removal of existing materials 2. Temporary dismantling of Existing Lightning Protection (if required) 3. Stair repairs and upgrades 4. Installation of stair railings or details 5. Plaster repair (second level only) 6. Interior Floorboard repair or replacement 7. Exterior railing repair or replacement 8. Re-Roofing (pre-finished metal) 9. Re-paint interior (if required) and exterior areas within scope of work 10. Temporary Removal and Reinstallation of Lightning Protection (as required for Work Area)
