Streetscaping on W Chicago Ave from N Pulaski Rd to N Kedzie Ave The Invest South/West (ISW) Humboldt Park project focuses on streetscape improvements along Chicago Avenue, from Pulaski Road to Kedzie Avenue1. This project, led by the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), aims to create safer, more walkable, and attractive streets to foster community and economic growth. This effort will support the City’s initiative to re-activate neighborhood cores that have historically served as focal points for pedestrian activity, shopping, services, transportation, public spaces and quality-of life amenities for local residents. Project is included in City of Chicago - Planning and Development Fiscal Year 2024-2028. As of April 7, 2025, the project is currently in the public outreach and concept design phase, with several public meetings already held to gather community input. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
