District : 05 Contractor must be qualified under Rule, 14-22, Florida Administrative Code - Work Class(es): Smart Orlando Downtown Advanced Traffic Ops Performance TRC Members (Subject to Change) : Jay Williams Jeremy Dilmore Ryan Flipse Smart Orlando Downtown Advanced Traffic Operations Performance (SODA TOP) Deployment The SODA TOP deployment will implement real-time performance measures and connected vehicle (CV) technologies through the deployment of Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPM), installation of CV roadside units (RSUs) at signalized intersections, CV on-board units (OBUs) on LYNX bus rapid transit (BRT) LYMMO vehicles, and Adaptive Signal Control Technology (ASCT) for grid timed signals that are compatible with CV applications. The deployment will improve pedestrian safety, transit reliability, and non-recurring congestion due to special events in the downtown urban core. The work includes furnishing, installing, integrating, and testing all hardware and software required for effective operation of the City of Orlando SODA TOP system. The Design-Build Firm is responsible for full design, implementation, and verification testing of the system at project signalized intersections and at the City of Orlando Traffic Management Center (TMC) and FDOT District 5 Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC). This includes any TMC or RTMC modifications required.
