Site work and paving for a civil project in Markham, Ontario. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Widening 16th Avenue to six lanes to include transit/High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes, rehabilitating bridges and culverts, installing multi-use paths, upgrading intersections, streetscaping and tree planting. Segment A: 16th Ave from Leslie to Warden. Segment B: 16th Ave from Warden to Kennedy. TIMELINE: Design updates will not be released. The Region anticipates construction to commence late 2026 on 16th Ave from Leslie to Warden & in 2028 on 16th from Warden to Kennedy. Updates may be available fall 2025.
