Renovation of an educational facility in Robinson, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of all trade work required to provide roofing replacement and repair of the existing roofing and masonry assembly at various areas of the Lincoln Elementary identified in the Construction Documents. The Owner, is inviting interested and qualified parties to submit sealed Bid Proposals for the PROJECT hereinafter referred to as ROBINSON CUSD #2 - ROBINSON LINCOLN ROOF REPAIRS, located at 301 E Poplar St. Robinson, IL 62454. The project consists of all trade work required to provide roofing replacement and repair of the existing roofing and masonry assembly at various areas of the Lincoln Elementary identified in the Construction Documents. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of Five (5) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. All correspondence including but not limited to, questions shall be directed to the office of the Architect, Farnsworth Group, Inc., Attention: Scott Burge, AIA; Email: sburge@f-w.com; Telephone: 217.352.7408. Bidding companies are required to register for this project and accept the Terms and Conditions listed on the website to access, view and print Bidding Documents. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. The Owner requires all contractors and vendors doing business with the Owner not to discriminate against anyone based on race, age, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ancestry, non-job-related handicaps or national origin. Successful bidders shall be required to observe the Fair Employment Practices Commission Rules pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity, and comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq., and use Wage Determination as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor, Conciliation, and Mediation Division Dated 04/16/2010. These wages will remain in effect until superseded by a new determination. J. Employees of all bidders/contracting firm (persons or firms holding contracts with the school district), including subcontractors employed by the bidder, are subject to Criminal Background Checks pursuant to Public Act 93-909 amended Sections 10-21.9* and 34-18.5 of the Illinois School Code [105 ILCS 5/10- 21.9 and 105 ILCS 5/34-18.5] which requires school districts to perform criminal history records information check or "CHRI" check. 1) All fees associated with the CHRI check are the responsibility of the bidder. 2) The school district will review the reports to determine whether any employees of the bidder/contracting firm has a conviction listed under Section 21B-80 of the School Code that would prohibit him or her from being on campus. 3) No employees of the bidder/contracting firm will be allowed on the school district's property until they have received approval from the school district. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject all bids, and to waive all informalities in the bidding. After receipt of bids and completion of the review process, the Owner may award a contract to the bidder that, in its opinion, will provide a combination of the best services and reasonable cost. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission.
