Site work for a civil project in Georgetown, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of the Waste Water System Improvements Division B for the Georgetown-Quitman County Water & Sewer Authority. The Work is generally described as follows: installation of bypass pumping at waste water treatment facility with necessary by-pass piping, demolition and removal of existing waste water lagoon liner, removal of existing geotextile fabric and under-liner ventilation tubing and miscellaneous hardware, installation of a new 60 mil HDPE liner +/- 5,000 square yards, removal and replacement of existing baffle curtain, pumping of existing sludge to roll off storage container, disposal of sludge is required and all other appurtenances associated with a complete installation. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All permits required for the construction of this project are expected to be approved prior to the date of full contract execution and notice to proceed. Acquisition of property for permanent easements and/or right of way is not expected to be required for this project. This project is expected to be funded all or in part by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority's (GEFA) Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan. The construction contract will be subject to GEFA's Supplemental General Conditions for Federally Assisted State Revolving Loan Fund Construction Contracts including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements and Davis Bacon & Related Act requirements. Additionally, the contract will be subject to GEFA's American Iron and Steel Special Conditions and Information for Federally. Bidding Documents also may be examined at Georgetown-Quitman Consolidated Government, during the Authority's regular business hours. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above, by calling 229-496-5700, or by requesting via email from cgriffin@stillwaterseng.com. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, Bidding Documents will be sent via email or other means of electronic file distribution. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.
