This project consists of Roadway Improvements: road reconstruction, curb and gutter, sidewalk, earthwork, drainage, pavement marking and signing, basic landscaping plan and sodding to Florida City Roadways separated into four (4) segments as follows:
Segment 1
NW 5th Avenue from W. Davis Parkway to W. Lucy Street and NW 5th Court from NW 8th Street to W. Lucy Street as shown on plans prepared by Stantec Consulting, Project No. 215614728.
Segment 2
NW 6th Avenue from W. Davis Parkway to W. Lucy Street and NW 4th Avenue from NW 12th Street to W. Lucy Street as shown on plans prepared by Stantec Consulting, Project No. 215614729.
Segment 3
NW 14th Street, NW 15th Street & NW 16th Street from NW 6th Avenue to NW 4th Avenue as shown on plans prepared by Stantec Consulting, Project No. 215614731.
Segment 4
NW 8th Street, NW 9th Street, NW 10th Street & NW 11th Street from NW 6th Avenue to NW 5th Avenue and NW 12th Street & NW 13th Street from NW 6th Avenue to NW 4th Avenue as shown on plans prepared by Stantec Consulting, Project No. 215614732. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, his address, the name of the project for which the bid is submitted, and the date of opening. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening hereof. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid is required to be submitted with the bid. Upon award of the contract, a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract award amount, and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract award amount shall be required. Note that bidder is required to pay workers on this project the minimum wages as determined in the Wage Determination Decision included in the Bidder's package; and that the contractor must ensure that employees are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. This project is also a Section 3 covered activity. Section 3 requires that job training, employment and contracting opportunities be directed to very-low and low income persons or business owners who live in the project's area. The City of Florida City, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to readvertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm, or corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the City shall be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the City shall be cause for rejections.
