A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Scottsdale, Arizona ("City") is accepting Statements of Qualifications ("SOQ") from qualified engineering firms/teams to provide design services for the Pima Road Happy Valley Road to Jomax Road Project. The objective of this contract is to develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and other contract documents so that the city can solicit for bid advertisement. This project will complete a one-mile segment of Pima Road from Happy Valley Road to Jomax Road to the ultimate rural minor arterial cross section and include major intersection improvements, landscaped medians, bike lanes, sidewalks and trails to improve safety, capacity and accessibility improvements for motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. This project will include the design of: 8-foot-wide separated sidewalk on the west side of Pima Road from Happy Valley Road to Jomax Road. 10-foot multiuse path from Desert Highlands Drive to Jomax Road on the east side of Pima Road. 8-foot trail on the east side of Pima Road from Happy Valley to Desert Highlands Drive Capacity and safety improvements at approximately 3 intersections (Desert Highlands Drive, Tether Trail, and Jomax Road.
