Application of an emulsified maltene-based asphalt rejuvenating agent to bituminous roadway surfaces. Work includes furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary. The project includes approximately 12 miles of local streets within the City of Edina. The final completion date is October 1, 2021. This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the operations for the application of maltene-based asphalt rejuvenating agent to asphalt pavements. The rejuvenation of pavements shall be by spray application of a cationic maltene-based rejuvenating agent composed of petroleum oils and resins emulsified with water. The base used for the emulsion shall be a naphthenic base stock. The asphalt binder rejuvenation shall be affected through maltene replacement technology. All work shall be in accordance with the specifications, any applicable drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of this contract. It is the intent of these documents to provide for the rejuvenation of Edina street pavements. The location and work details of each of the project areas are shown on the plans and described as follows: Morningside B/F, Arden Park D/West 54 th Street, Strachauer Park B, Birchcrest B, Countryside F, Olinger Boulevard, Bredesen Park D, Braemar Hills B, Valley View Road, Prospect Knolls B/Dewey Hill G, and Tracy Avenue. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids or to remove specific project areas based on received bid prices.
