Renovation of a water / sewer project in Marysville, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

This project has been awarded to Mericka Group LLC in the amount of $409,800. The project is an exterior full recoat of the Citys elevated Comeford Reservoir, originally constructed in 1921 and no longer used for potable water storage but being maintained as a landmark. The project includes related work including: Full containment during blasting and recoating; The addition of a roof hatch and two lanyard tie-offs Limited interior spot repair and spot recoating; The Citys logo painted in two locations; The addition of an electrical outlet at the catwalk; and Removal, re-installation and/or replacement of specified items such as conduits, inactive radios and antennas, and holiday lighting. Work may begin on or after September 7, 2021 and must be complete by November 30, 2021. All work must be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Contractor shall supply full containment of any blasting or wet blasting of structures and/or components in the field. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Marysville in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The City of Marysville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of forty-five (45) days. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The bidder further agrees that the bid bond or deposit accompanying this bid shall be left in escrow with the City, and that the liquidated damages which the City will sustain by the failure of the undersigned bidder to execute and deliver the contract and performance bond will be equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid.
