The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Pymatuning State Park, requires furnishing of all materials for one (1) fully engineered pedestrian bridge of glulam construction of Bridge Dimensions: 65'-0" long x 6'-0" wide and delivered to Pymatuning State Park, 2660 Williamsfield Road, Jamestown, PA 16134-3560. Work must include, but is not limited to, the furnishing and delivery of the bridge, deck, railings, bearing plates, hardware, and furnishing all materials for assembly of the bridge by DCNR staff. The construction of the bridge abutments, and/or footings and the erection of the bridge will be completed by DCNR staff. The bridge will include the following: - Railings to a minimum height of forty-two inches (42") above deck on both sides with railings to be designed to meet ASHTO standards forpedestrians. - All hardware for bridge assembly will be included. Note: All hardware will be corrosion/rustresistant. - Three inches (3") thick x Twelve inches (12") wide #2 SYPwith S4S finish pressure treated wood decking, or approved equal, in accordance with the AITC 109 Standard. - Anti-slip surface on decking. - Directions for assembly/disassembly to accompany bridge upon delivery. - Bridge pieces will be labeled to facilitate assembly. - Bridge is to be delivered to the Park, it will be unloaded by DCNR in an area designated by Park Manager. - Glulam bridge stringers are anticipated to be up to 5,000 lbs. each. DCNR will offload these components using machinery, such as an excavator or backhoe rated for the load. - Remaining bridge pieces should be easily assembled on site with standard hand tools and minimal use of heavy equipment. Note: Maximum weight distribution is approximately 75 lbs. per person for materials lifted by hand. - Permits have been obtained for the project, Water Obstruction and Encroachment Permit No. GP112006120-035. - The bridge must meet or exceed the specifications provided herein.
