Renovation of a municipal facility in Annapolis, Maryland. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The historic Burtis House, located at 69 Prince George Street, was acquired by the City from the State of Maryland as surplus property in FY2022. The Burtis House project will include two phases. Phase I of the project,currently in design, will result in the structure being elevated and preserved to prevent further degradation of the facilities. Phase II of the project will involve selective demolition and rehabilitation of the property. The scope and estimated costs associated with Phase II will be determined in coordination with the City Dock Resilience and Revitalization Project and the initiative to create a National Park Gateway facility in Annapolis. This project is included in the city’s fy 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of August 6, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timeline have not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
