The project consists of delivering a fully integrated, water treatment facility to replace the community's existing treatment system. The Contractor will be responsible for the complete supply, transportation to site, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and two-year operation of the new facilities. Decommissioning of the existing water treatment plant at Williamson Lake and Nipissar Lake is considered provisional scope. Tear down of the existing water storage tank at Williamson Lake is included as part of this scope. The new system will include replacement of the raw water intakes at Nipissar Lake; including supply and installation of a new modular raw water pumphouse and associated equipment and infrastructure as well as upgrades and connections to the existing utilidor network. This also includes supply and installation of a new pre-engineered water treatment plant at Williamson Lake. Including fully integrated water treatment equipment incorporating straining, dissolved air flotation, ultrafiltration, UV disinfection, and truck-fill capability, new treated water storage tanks, mechanical and electrical systems, including backup power and associated works, instrumentation, controls, and all required civil and structural works.
